Dentistry has been a passion of Dr. Amer Abusabha’s for as long as he can remember. The creative ingenuity and degree of variability accompanied by his enthusiasm for interacting with and caring for people drew him to dentistry and makes him excited to come to work each day.
Education and Experience
Dr. Amer earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology at the University of Detroit Mercy. He continued on to the Indiana University School of Dentistry (IUSD), where he earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery.
Dr. Amer is continually expanding his knowledge in implant dentistry to best provide solutions in replacing missing teeth. He continues to expand his knowledge on restorative dentistry to understand composites to fundamentally provide minimally invasive treatment and preserve more tooth structure to extend the life cycle of the restored tooth. Dr. Amer is constantly staying up to date with his knowledge of digital dentistry along with pain management approaches that serve as an alternative to opioids.

Beyond the Office
Dr. Amer grew up in Dearborn and Detroit, Michigan, as the eldest of five in a family of doctors. He is engaged to Hana, a bright third-year dental student at the Indiana University School of Dentistry.
When not at work, Dr. Amer can be found racking up miles around Northeast Fort Wayne—on foot! As an avid runner, he has completed 12 marathons, 14 half marathons, and counting. He has recently started cycling with Dr. Painter and hopes to do an Ironman soon!
